Job Opening: Growth Manager
We're looking for a Growth Manager to build out the growth engine at Smartplan.
About Smartplan
Smartplan is 10 years old (wow, time moves fast). We're a SaaS company. Smartplan is a user-friendly, affordable workforce management tool. It helps small to medium size businesses with staff scheduling, time attendance, salary, communication with employees, time off and absence etc. We have been profitable from the beginning. We have no investors to answer to. We decide what we want to work on and how we want to work.
We're a small team, just the way we like it.
- 3 co-founders. (1 dev, 1 designer, 1 marketing)
- 2 customer success / marketing
- 1 mobile app developer
- 1 Back-end developer
- 1 Front-end developer
We have an office in Aarhus, Denmark where we sometimes meet, but most of us work remotely (using Basecamp). Most of our communication is async written communication and we keep meetings to a minimum. We believe this is the best way to work and have a calm but productive work environment without too many distractions and interruptions.
What you will be working on
At Smartplan we believe the Customer Experience is the most important growth factor for our business. Everything we do is about improving that. We’re driven by product led growth and you will work on supporting our customer experience with marketing efforts.
Smartplan has a great customer fit and we have customers in the Nordics, Germany and UK.
Our current marketing channels are: Mouth to mouth referrals, SEO, Google Ads and Meta ads.
What we work on always aligns with the struggle and the job customers hire our product to do for them. Making this easier, better, faster, efficient and painless is what we care most about.

What we expect from you
You have experience with performance marketing and product-led growth. You understand that money isn’t infinite and hitting the right CaC is always on your mind.
We expect you to be experienced in preferably multiple of these:
- Paid ads on Meta
- Google Ads
- Product-Led growth
- Email marketing
- SEO
- Vibe Marketing
- Video marketing
- Marketing a SaaS
You can write and express yourself. Most of our communication is written and async. So you should be comfortable expressing yourself in clear and long-form writing. We also use video meetings to do quick 1-1s if things need to be hashed out or discussed in closer collaboration. Therefore it is important you are fluent in written and spoken English.
You are pragmatic and self-driven. You are full of ideas, but also understand that bringing ideas to life is hard work. Work you are willing to do. You like to approach things in a pragmatic way. Finding simple solutions to complex problems. You are comfortable proposing solutions and being proactive. You can self govern and structure work.
You are located in CET (+/- 2 hours). Preferably in Denmark, even better in Aarhus.
What we offer
- 37 hours work week. No overtime work is expected. We respect that you have more in life than work.
- Remote culture. We have an office in Aarhus you can use, but we work from wherever we want. We have people across Denmark, Germany, Hungary.
- Salary. We offer a starting rate of approx. €6000 / month. Depending on experience.
